What is oscillation?

"Oscillation" occurs any time an Autotrader's account falls out of 'sync' with the Strategy it is following.  In other words, if the position in an Autotrader's brokerage account doesn't match the Strategy based on its particular Autotrader settings, our sync technology notices this and will add an additional trade in order to make sure they match.

This usually occurs for a few reasons:

1) The Autotrader is scaling at less than 100%, and the Strategy has multiple trades for 1 position.  Due to rounding, at some point, the Autotrader's account may require a sync trade to fully equal the position again.

2) There is a delay in a C2 fill being posted to a Strategy.

3) A server issue with the Autotrader's brokerage account causes a position to be temporarily reported incorrectly.
